Gorillaz- Fire Coming Out of the Monkey's Head (LIVE)

I have decided that the left peace seekers, aka the sane and rational, need some anti-bushco songs. Know any? I know a few and over the next few days I'm going to be a music posting fool.

Let me know what you think!

Hi,
This is not about your blog, but to thank you for wishing me Happy Birthday. I like your blog and what you are trying to do.

Also, I blinked twice when I saw your picture. I have a parishoner called Jody, that could be your twin sister!

\Keep up the good work!

Ask a wingnut and they'll tell you war is the answer and music is the root of all evil Frederick. Fortunatly, the sane and rational know the truth. ;o)

Dave, why thank you and you're quite welcome. I never knew my father so, you may just know a long lost sister of mine. Then again, I get that alot, I must just have one of those faces.

Hope your birthday was a great one!

Neil Young has some good ones.

Neil Young has ALL of the good ones! Plus, I adore the man. Did you see him on headline news? This young girl kept trying to say that he was "cashing in". Neil, being Neil whooped her butt and, smiled every step of the way!

One of my favorite political songs was from Crosby, Stills and Nash: "Ohio". I loved how Dave Crosby called Nixon "a pig of the lowest order."

There's a Madonna video (as a gay man I MUST talk of Madonna) where she's in concert somewhere in Europe, I think in the Netherlands, and she leads the crowd in chanting "Fuck George Bush!" Awesome. AND you can post any NEW Dixie Chicks songs. They are pretty anti-repug.

I loved the Dixie Chicks "answer" song!!

I once had a video that an American Marine in Iraq made to the song BYOB by System of a Down. It was the single most powerful vid I have ever seen. Think about what it says that a US GI made it...

It had to happen...and it finally did!

I don't share your enthusiasm, ziem, about this freaky looking and goofy sounding troubadour, Neil Young. It might be, that I don't pay attention to lyrics and, that I just hear the notes. What is it with this fellow, Young, that every American woman, that I have come to like and respect, digs him? Sure isn't the looks as far as I can tell! When he was just a junior partner to Crosby (damn good hockey player;)),Stills and Nash, he fit like a glove. However, I love the Dixie Chicks and maybe I even will like their music one day. ?:-/

All this doesn't mean that I am a closet Neocon, does it?

My darling Pekka, I invite you to come to my house and check out my cd collection. You, like the others before you would leave, holding your sides in pain from extreme laughter. I own everything from Metallica to Brubeck to Holliday to Blur to Chopin to Westerburg to.... I am not a big fan of rap (though I adore Will Smith!). That'd be about it. I love classical, jazz, OLD blues and new age and heavy metal and country and classic rock and...

Let me explain my "Young" fetish. First, he's a Canadien (incert knowing wink here). Second, I love what he has to say, third, I spent the first seven years of my life living with my grandparents. I have an aunt, a wonderful woman, who happens to be 11 years older than I. Now, I catch anyone counting... all ya'll's in trouble!, I was born in 1961. She was a flower child and I was a mini Sharon. I was fed the anti-war movement and it's music of the 60's.
I have a diverse taste in music, very diverse, as does my son. Someday, I will post a song from his band and one of his solo effort. If you're like his mother, you'll wonder if it's the same man. It is, my face is red........

Hehe, I should have known by now, ziem, that my taste in music is an exact copy of yours! Maybe your wild daddy is responsible of my bir... Nah, wait a minut! Make it, maybe I am your wild daddy! :]

Let me correct your bad mistake, though! Neil young is not a Canadien. Any fool knows, that he is a Canuck.:-]~

lol - In that case, I stand corrected.

So the Chicks are in the studio, creating a new song. It's about a creepy subject, maybe GeeDubya, and the set designer calls for piles of garbage, with little white mice everywhere among the trash. (Hey, it can't be weirder than buckets of black paint or oil.)

The ladies, quite compassionately, don't want to harm that many living creatures, so the designer points to an old down comforter, instructing her crew to cut it up and create mouse-like objects from its contents.

"Wait a minute," warns Natalie Maines. "I'm not ready to fake mice. I'm not ready to hack down..."
